✨[Human Design IRL #2 ] Offering freedom with boundaries

Human Design IRL: Issue 2

Hi lovely Reader!

It's time for another edition of Human Design IRL!

Today I wanted to talk about my client Samantha, who was at her wits' end dealing with her strong-willed 7 year old son.

She found that no matter what she would say to him, he was always pushing back. He didn't seem to listen to anything! She found herself getting very frustrated by it and would often end up losing her temper. He was angry with her a lot of the time and would often say he was "sick of being told what to do."

After diving into their charts, I noticed two key things: first, as a generator parent, frustration is a big red flag that something is out of alignment in her parenting approach. And second, her son is a manifestor. Manifestors naturally crave freedom to explore and make decisions on their own, and they don’t like being told what to do.

The solution:

Samantha needed to loosen her grip a little and give her son the space to make his own choices and explore what he’s naturally drawn to. Since he’s a manifestor, he thrives when he has the freedom to act independently, but he also needs to keep his mom informed about what he’s doing (his strategy), and have boundaries to keep him safe.

For Samantha to stay in alignment as a generator parent, she had to remember that frustration is a clear sign that something isn’t working. As a generator, her energy thrives when she’s responding to situations rather than trying to control or initiate them. By tuning into her gut and allowing herself to respond to her son’s needs, rather than reacting out of frustration, she can bring more ease and calm to her parenting journey.

Human Design IRL: Issue 4 Happy Tuesday lovely Reader! It’s time for another edition of Human Design IRL! Today I want to tell you about Kate - a projector and therapist who, for quite some time, was feeling totally burned out by her schedule. You see, she genuinely loved working with her clients, but the way her days were set up left her feeling completely drained. She was seeing clients back-to-back, without any built-in time for rest. And with her emotional solar plexus open, that meant...

Human Design IRL: Issue 3 Happy Tuesday lovely Reader! It's time for another edition of Human Design IRL! Today I want to share the story of my client Lauren, a 2/4 projector who was feeling totally overwhelmed trying to grow her business on Instagram. She told me, “I know I’m supposed to be visible, but every time I try to post consistently or promote my offers, I feel like I’m forcing it. And then I burn out and disappear for weeks.” Sound familiar? Lauren was getting caught in a common...

Human Design IRL: Issue 1 Hi lovely Reader! Welcome to the first edition of my weekly newsletter: Human Design IRL! Each week, I’ll be sharing real-life examples from both myself and my clients (with permission!) of how we're successfully integrating human design into our lives, businesses, and even parenting. This week, I wanted to share a personal story. I recently went on an incredibly healing trip to Sedona, Arizona that validated my intuition (my inner authority) on every level. I have...
